A proofreader is the last person to check a document in the publication process. They must have an excellent understanding of spelling and grammar, and be flexible enough to work in different styles of English writing and editing. A proofreader does not make changes to the structure of or rewrite a document, but simply checks for grammatical and spelling errors.
